Our senior estimator will work alongside his or her respective project team to bid work throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. You will be the cornerstone of our growing presence in the DMV area, and will be responsible for:
  • Preparing discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work
  • Maintaining files of working documents to support one's estimates
  • Accurate and up-to-date supplier pricing (via direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc)
  • Reviewing design options and recommending the best solution based on material availability, cost, or engineering quality
  • Reviewing and incorporating historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc into unit and man hour figures
  • Reviewing proposal specs, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and req. components of estimate
  • Working with owners, architects, engineers, and other contractors to provide cost data and engineering in regards to project feasibility
  • Other duties as needed

B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture preferred but not required.
