An American Company is seeking a Med Lab Tech in Raleigh, NC.
The main function of a lab assistant is to perform routine laboratory functions in support of bioanalytical operations. This involves the cleaning, maintenance and calibration of instruments and equipment with documentation to GLP requirements. A typical lab assistant may work under the supervision of a Metrology Specialist.
Job Responsibilities: Pipette performance checks, qualification of new pipettes, routine maintenance of freezers/refrigerators, pH meter and weighing balance checks, maintenance of high-purity water system, centrifuges, ultra-sonic baths, vortexers, flask scrubbers, shakers and other lab bench equipment.
Skills & Requirements
• Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, good documentation practices and teamwork skills.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time. Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment.
• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in medical technology or vocational training preferred.
