Corporate Accountant- Global Real Estate Firm- Beverly Hills, CA

JOB SUMMARY
The Corporate Accountant is an integral member of the accounting department charged with carrying out full-cycle accounting functions, including month-end closing activities as well as AP and AR. This role is significant in developing the supporting infrastructure of a high-volume environment. The Corporate Accountant will have the opportunity to be exposed to significant levels o ad-hoc projects if core duties are delivered timely, accurately, and professionally.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Assist Manager of Corporate Accounting in top company accounting, as needed
2. Maintain and manage general ledger activities for properties. Coordinate and track all significant transactions and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
3. Review and assist with the budgeting and forecasting process.
4. Coordinate and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and annual financial statements.
5. Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for top companies.
7. Preparation and reconciliation of bi-weekly payroll entries.
8. Accrual and reconciliation of monthly management fees and related elimination entries.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Related Field
2. 5+ Years of aggregate AP, AR, and general accounting experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
3. Real Estate experience is a PLUS, but NOT NECESSARY

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
1. Initiative to take on multiple tasks in a busy environment.
2. Knowledge of GAAP, with a grasp on both cash and accrual accounting
3. Efficient and accurate data entry skills
4. Demonstrate a professional attitude.
5. Ability to maintain confidentiality
6. Work in a team-oriented environment while driving results.
