Deviations Investigator – Contract – Melville, NY. - $50.00-$60.00/hr

A Pharmaceutical Company is seeking a Deviations Investigator in Melville, NY.

Role Description

• This position is responsible to ensure the generation and completion of robust Investigation Reports (i.e Out-of-Specification, Out-of-Trend, deviations to SOPS)
• Reviewing peripheral team (manufacturing, R&D) deviations against their existing processes (SOPs) and their reason for deviating
• Seeking the expertise internally (within Company) to make sure that all appropriate stakeholders are ok with the deviation and that the risk is minimal and/or communicated correctly so that the right decisions and root causes are chosen
• Understanding the procedures/standards that may have been deviated from
• Working to assess the risk
• Participate in defining "right CAPA after investigation process is complete
• Administering the process (CAPA, reporting, tracking to completion)
• Manage highly complex and visible investigations using different root cause methodologies such as 5 Why's, Causal Factor Charting, Human Error Checklist, Fishbone, and Fault Tree
• Able to project manage and work with different functional teams.
• Ideally people who understand formulation, compounding, R&D etc… the processes related to production of cosmetics, HABA, pharmaceuticals, etc…
• Facilitation across multiple stakeholders and experts
• Utilize technical writing strategies to ensure content is clear, concise, and complete
• Stays updated on best practices, quality trends and regulatory requirements
