An American Company is seeking a Remote Director of DevSecOps

Role Description

As a director of Identity and Access Management (IAM) DevSecOps Engineering/Development services, you will be responsible for leading the IAM Engineering team to define and develop innovative technology solutions delivering authentication, authorization, governance, and secret management services.

As a team, IAM Engineering is responsible for developing IAM solutions that facilitate the acceleration and adoption of cloud native, computing, secrets management in code for company. This includes building patterns and processes that allow for reduced friction in cloud development and applications teams to ingest IAM secure code, API, policies, and controls as part of the normal CI/CD pipeline.

You will drive the technical roadmap for all Cloud services, as well as drive the implementation of value-added solutions. Therefore, experience managing Cloud and software engineering teams, as well as your proven track record of delivering leading-edge technology infrastructure, is essential for success in this role.

• Working across Cloud platforms to define and develop the long-range technology roadmap for our colleagues and customers around cloud IAM system governance requirements.
• Managing, growing, and mentoring an outstanding engineering team all while attracting, retaining, and developing highly effective professionals and support staff
• Overseeing the actions of Cloud transformation to ensure that the mission, strategy, and processes align with Cyber, IAM and Technical Services strategies
• Designing and implementing IAM solutions across a broad array of Cloud platforms services
• Delivering operational excellence; focusing on the service management and DevOps approach to achieve agility, scale, and efficiency
• Setting Cloud IAM platforms architectural standards and designing IAM automation for Cloud platforms infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code); working with our technology partners to design best-in-class Cloud platforms system implementations
• Ensuring that security policy, compliance requirements, and Cloud platforms best practices are implemented across all projects
• Partnering with security and application teams to ensure that infrastructure is secure and meets the company’s needs

Skills & Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience as a department director or senior leadership role
• 5 or more years of experience leading engineering teams
• 8 or more years previous experience as a leader in transformation programs
• Previous experience in Identity and Access Management or Information Security with a solid understanding of the requirements and goals of IAM as a regulatory and security function
• Expert level experience with Dev/Sec/Ops model and Agile tools and processes, including Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, Scrum and KanBan
• Experience managing projects and deliverables in a fast-paced regulatory environment
• Experience with building scalable Cloud infrastructure and processes
• Expert in Cloud Operations with a proven track record of hiring, coaching, and retaining team members
• Experience in CI/CD and applying the DevOps mindset and principles
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience in systems operations management and maintaining environments for enterprise applications
• Proven experience in collaborating with cross-functional business units
• Experience managing Cloud platform spending through metrics and reporting
• Experience educating stakeholders on the impact of Cloud configuration decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Azure, AWS and HashiCorp Vaults preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or comparable field
