Our client is seeking Desktop Support in Naples, FL.

Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Systems Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This role requires a balance of technical skills, customer service, and the ability to communicate complex technical information in an easy-to-understand manner. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology and helping others, with a knack for diagnosing and solving IT issues effectively.

Responsibilities:

● Communicating with End Users:
○ Field incoming help requests from end users via telephone, email, and other online platforms.
○ Simplify technical language to ensure clear communication with clients, focusing
on understanding and meeting their needs.
○ Engage actively in listening and questioning to accurately identify IT issues and develop solutions.
○ Foster positive relationships with clients through effective rapport-building.
● Collaborating with Team Members:
○ Work closely with team members to address and fulfill client needs.
○ Document processes, actions, and solutions accurately and store them in designated repositories.
● Diagnosing and Troubleshooting IT Problems:
○ Utilize diagnostic tools and resources to address IT challenges.
○ Troubleshoot software and hardware issues within Mac and Linux environments, leveraging updates, drivers, and knowledge bases as necessary.
○ Verify the effectiveness of solutions, ensuring resolution of issues.
○ Create and maintain help sheets and FAQs for end user guidance.
● Onsite Installations:
○ Execute PC setup and deployment at client locations, adhering to established protocols.
○ Customize installations with client-specific business applications, following detailed procedures.

Skills & Requirements

● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
● Strong team player, yet capable of working independently.
● Effective organization and thought structuring, with a proficiency in sharing ideas and feedback.
● Critical thinker with a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
● Creative and adaptable, especially when facing unforeseen challenges.
● Committed to meeting deadlines and managing time efficiently.
● Keen attention to detail and a dedication to quality.
● Enthusiastic about technology and assisting others.
● Proven experience in IT support, system engineering, or a related field is preferred but
not essential for enthusiastic beginners with a strong willingness to learn.
● Familiarity with Mac and Linux operating systems, diagnostic utilities, and troubleshooting techniques.
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
