Sr lead Cloud Architect (Azure Delivery) – Permanent – Raleigh, NC – $165,000 - $190,000.

The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s/applicant’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Sr lead Cloud Architect (Azure Delivery) in Raleigh, NC.

Role Description

You will work with an experienced professional services team to help customers migrate to and operate in Azure throughout customers’ entire cloud adoption lifecycles; assessments, design, proof-of-concepts, documentation, planning, execution, and optimization. This is a primarily customer-facing project delivery role.

• Assessing application portfolios, planning migrations to Azure, and delivering written assessment deliverables including Total • Cost of Ownership models

• They’ll be involved in application migration patterns (6 R’s)

• They will be involved in high level project plans/work breakdown structures

• They will be involved in high level infrastructure designs and diagrams

• They will be tasked with Azure Well-Architected Framework reviews

• They will provide hands-on execution as a member of implementation team

• They will be responsible for defining and maintaining the high-level technical vision for the projects, both externally towards the customer and internally towards the project team

• They will create and maintain detailed diagrams and other written configuration documentation

• They will educate customers on Azure services and general cloud patterns and anti-patterns

• They will collaborate with colleagues to refine and enhance the broader cloud Solutions Architecture practice

• They will assist pre-sales with scoping and estimations

• They will contribute to the development of processes, templates and other project collateral

Skills & Requirements

• 12 years of overall relevant experience without a college degree OR 8 years relevant experience with a BA or BS degree (6 with a Masters) 8+ years of diverse solutions architecture experience, and a minimum of 3 years of relevant public cloud experience Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) Certification Hands-on experience with both lift-and-shift and greenfield Azure migrations. Intermediate level experience with one or more Infrastructure-as-Code implementations (ARM, Bicep, Terraform) Intermediate to Expert level familiarity with containerization technologies (AKS, Container Apps) Familiarity with Identity and Access models in on-prem (Active Directory) and public cloud (Entra ID, SAML SSO) Intermediate to Expert level experience with IP Networking, ExpressRoute, VPN technologies, etc.
• AI-102, DP-100, DP-203, AZ-500, AZ-400 Azure Certifications PCI, HIPAA, and HITRUST compliance as related to Cloud Infrastructure Common Infrastructure as Code and DevOps patterns such as Terraform, ARM/Bicep, Immutable deployments, and CI/CD Pipelines. Familiarity with AWS and/or GCPIndustry knowledge in any of the following verticals is highly desired: such as Healthcare/HealthTech; Financial Services/FinTech, SaaS or E-Commerce
