A locally-based K12 Contractor is Actively Hiring an Experienced and Tenured Superintendent!

Position Overview:
The Commercial Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the construction of K-12 schools and municipal buildings from the ground up. This role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in managing complex construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to schedules.

Responsibilities:
  1. Project Leadership:
    • Lead and supervise all aspects of construction projects, including planning, execution, and closeout.
    • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Monitor progress, address challenges, and maintain project timelines.
  2. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure compliance with construction standards, safety protocols, and project specifications.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality and adherence to plans.
    • Implement corrective actions as needed.
  3. Budget and Schedule Management:
    • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deadlines.
    • Monitor project costs, track expenses, and manage budget allocations.
    • Optimize resource allocation to meet project goals.
  4. Team Coordination:
    • Supervise field staff, subcontractors, and labor crews.
    • Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and productivity.
    • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  5. Risk Mitigation:
    • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans.
    • Address unforeseen challenges promptly to minimize disruptions.
    • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  6. Communication:
    • Provide regular project updates to management, clients, and other relevant parties.
    • Resolve conflicts and facilitate effective problem-solving.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in commercial construction, specifically in K-12 schools and municipal ground-up projects.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to read construction documents.
  • Familiarity with regulatory construction standards and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency with construction software tools such as Procore, MS Project, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Compensation:
  • Base salary range: $100,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Vehicle allowance, gas card, bonus program based on profitability
Location:
  • The position is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
