An established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Director to lead A 40+ year established general contractor, multiple construction award winner. This organization would consider a Preconstruction Manager seeking career growth into a Director role. This is a position where you can have significant ownership and the backing to implement new processes and systems as you see fit as the company are experiencing significant growth.

Your new role:

• Establish and maintain relationships with existing and new clients.
• Lead preparation of proposals for new business as this organization seek to break into new market sectors across the commercial construction sector.
• Lead presentations to clients and other external vendors.
• Attend and participate in business meetings, industry events and conferences.
• Develop and maintain leads, review lead sources, participate and help guide the identification of pursuit targets.
• Report into and provide data to senior C-suite leaders to brainstorm strategy and vision for the company.

What you'll need to succeed:

You will have preconstruction manager experience within the commercial construction sector. This could range from multifamily, education, healthcare or office, ideally with a mix of new construction and interior project scopes. Ideally you will have developed an excellent network of architect, broker, and subcontractor relationships within the commercial construction market sector to bring new business development opportunities to the table.

A relevant degree or industry experience is required for this preconstruction director role, ideally within construction management, engineering, architecture, or business management. Candidates who only reside in DC, MD or VA and have experience in working within the commercial general contractor industry will be considered.
