Our client is seeking a Director of Software in Tampa, FL.

Role Description

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of software developers, QA engineers, and project managers, and provide feedback and guidance on their performance and career development.
• Define and implement best practices and standards for software development, testing, code review, documentation, and deployment, and ensure compliance with them across the team.
• Design and architect scalable, secure, and robust web and mobile applications using PHP, Node.js, React, and other relevant technologies and frameworks.
• Plan and manage the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance, using agile methodology and tools.
• Monitor and troubleshoot the performance, availability, and security of the software products and services, and resolve any issues or defects in a timely manner.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including product managers, designers, customers, users, and overseas development teams, and ensure alignment of expectations and deliverables.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and trends, and provide recommendations and insights on how to improve or innovate our software products and services.
• Contribute to the strategic direction and vision for our software products and services, and ensure alignment with the company's goals and values.

Skills & Requirements

• 7+ years of Software Development Leadership (managing both people and processes) experience in complex, enterprise
• Must possess strong experience and proficiency leading the design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of web and mobile applications suite
• Must possess strong experience designing and architecting scalable, secure, and robust web and mobile applications utilizilng both React and Node.js
• Must possess strong experience and proficiency in API design and integration design
• Must possess experience leading both onshore and offshore teams and efforts
• Prior experience and sound understanding of PHP strongly preferred.
