Construction Estimator position with a Dallas-based commercial landscape architecture development firm.

Construction & Development Firm Seeking Senior Commercial Estimator
Looking for a commercial construction estimator with an entrepreneurial spirit to lead the North Dallas office to success. This construction developer provides commercial services for recreational and commercial projects that have a special focus on landscape architecture. The firm operates in Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth and are known for their work building high-quality parks, bridges, infrastructure, and recreation centers.


Candidates are required to have relevant estimating commercial construction projects for a commercial general contractor in Dallas. Estimating experience with landscape architecture projects is highly preferred.


Responsibilities:
  • Bid Strategy Development: Attend bid meetings and collaborate with project teams to create effective bid strategies.
  • Execute bid strategies to enhance our competitive edge.
  • Cost Analysis: Prepare comprehensive and timely cost analyses for construction projects.
  • Thoroughly review project plans, specifications, and requirements to understand project scope.
  • Budget and Cost Estimation: Analyze project proposals to create accurate budget and cost estimates.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier bids and quotes.
  • Historical Cost Data Management:Maintain a comprehensive database of historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy.
  • Provide ongoing input on project budgets and cost control throughout project lifecycles.


Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience with commercial general contractor.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management or a related field of study.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and systems.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
