Our client is a well established nationwide General Contractor headquartered in Maryland, who specializes in a wide range of construction projects including commercial, hospitality, multifamily, restaurants, retail and historic and older buildings, from minor renovations to major remodeling projects and new construction valued between $100,000 - $5M. They are among the top 20 fastest growing companies within the Washington metropolitan area and looking to grow their already established estimating team.


Your new role

As an Estimator, you will report directly to the VP of estimating and be responsible for bidding on hospitality projects valued typically between $100,000 and $5M. You will be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates, onscreen takeoffs, work closely with Project Managers, Architects and Subcontractors to gather information, bid presentation and contribute to value engineering efforts to optimize project costs. This role will be based in the head office in MD from Monday to Friday and will include local travel to DC when necessary for pre-bid walk-throughs.


What you'll need to succeed

  • 3–5 years estimating experience within a General Contracting environment.
  • Experience bidding on projects valued between $100,000 - $5M, preferably within the hospitality sector, MEP, commercial, or high-end condos, mill work.
  • Previous experience working in the field is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a desire to get on the phone.
