The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s/applicant’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a ServiceNow Developer for a remote opportunity.

Role Description

Responsible for the technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation support for ServiceNow projects, enhancements, and fixes. The developer will work with members of the Applications team, business users, and external vendors to design, implement, test, document, and deploy enhancements, fixes, and configuration changes needed to support the enterprise. Daily activities will include developing solutions within ServiceNow, assisting with the integration of other apps/tools with ServiceNow, limited system administration, report development and testing of the product and its sub-modules.

• Support the development and configuration of ServiceNow in a variety of areas including, but not limited to Service Portal, Change, Problem, Incident, Service Catalog, Knowledge, Release/SDLC, Discovery, Project, Reporting, and SLAs.
• Collaborate with team members to define, analyze, understand, and document business and technical requirements.
• Participate in and support ServiceNow version upgrades.
• Offer technical solutions to address requirements, evaluate alternate solutions, and perform analysis to determine technical courses of action.
• Organize and lead projects, driving the design, creation, testing, and delivery of technical functionality.
• Create technical architecture, design, and user guide documentation.
• Support business growth and proposal teams by writing proposal sections, providing guidance, and contributing to the creation of cost and effort estimates.
• Work with end users, stakeholders, and management to define and create reports, dashboards, and data analysis products.
• Lead, author, and contribute to IT related, technical processes reviews, postmortems, and continual process improvement.
• Create estimations on effort required to produce ServiceNow functionality.
• Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

Skills & Requirements

• 4+ years ServiceNow experience as a ServiceNow Developer with development experience focused primarily on workflows and integrations (Smartsheet to ServiceNow; WASP)
• Must possess experience & proficiency using ServiceNow Integration Hub, ITSM
• Must possess experience & proficiency w/ configuring the ServiceNow portal, inclusive of building new widgets, making changes & maintaining the portal
• Must possess experience & proficiency w/ writing APIs for integration with 3rd parties, such as Jira or other systems (such as transforming a csv file from an API call into a table in ServiceNow with a not-so-straight forward API documentation for a system called WASP Asset Cloud)
• Must possess experience & proficiency working in an Agile environment
• Must possess experience & proficiency scripting
• Required certification: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
• Must possess excellent interpersonal & communication skills with ability to hit the ground running, move fast, and produce

***The ideal candidate will be a ServiceNow Certified Application Developer with 4-5+ years of development experience focused primarily on workflows and integrations. This developer will focus primarily on integrations including WASP and Smartsheet to ServiceNow integration, working with existing ITSM.
80% of this person's day-to-day will consist of strictly development and 5-10% will be participating in meetings, etc. They will work with the team to understand requirements, design, and build solutions, implement the solution, and ensure they work as expected. They will not be responsible for code review. They will be working with a team of 1 developer and a Senior Solution Architect. They will be asked to do many things from integrations with 3rd party systems to also creating workflows, building automation, and catalog items. Scripting will be needed. ***

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technically relevant degrees.

EXPERIENCE: 3+ years ServiceNow experience as a ServiceNow developer or hands-on configuration experience in ServiceNow. Experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML Familiar with LDAP, MS Active Directory, ADFS Integration (interfacing) of enterprise software systems preferred. Proven experience working with the ServiceNow Platform as a key technical resource leading the development/configuration of ServiceNow solutions in multiple environments. ServiceNow platform development including ITSM, ITOM, ITBM & ITAM.
