The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s/applicant’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Java Developer in Atlanta, GA.

Role Description

As a Backend Engineer at company, you will play a key role in building and implementing our next-generation logistics software for medical device manufacturers, logistics providers, and healthcare facilities. You will have the opportunity to work on a greenfield application using the latest technologies, enhance our software to support a multibillion-dollar global medical device inventory system, and help provide technical leadership to our Java team.

• Build robust, scalable backend solutions using microservices and integration technologies like REST APIs, Kafka, and GraphQL
• Participate in scrum and agile methodologies to ensure efficient project delivery
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to align backend services with client-side applications
• Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and security practices
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in backend development and cloud technologies, applying them to improve existing systems

Skills & Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend technologies
• Proven experience with microservices architecture, REST APIs, Kafka, GraphQL, and other integration technologies
• Strong experience with languages such as Java, Node.js, and Python
• Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, with a focus on cloud-native solutions
• Experience in implementing DevOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and leadership skills
• Understanding of ecosystem technologies like ping identity, Oftta, SAML, Trust, SSL
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools
• Strong communication skills, capable of advocating for technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
• Python experience is a plus!
