Software Development Engineer – Contract – Tampa, FL– $65.00 - $72.00/hr.

The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s/applicant’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Tampa, FL.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

• Assist with migration of REST APIs from on premise to Azure ASE protected via APIM policies.
• Assist with refactoring of Portal Entitlements application utilizing Access-Control-centric domain models.
• migrated from on-prem SiteMinder to AWS-hosted Ping (for external Clients) & Azure-hosted Entra (for internal Employees).
• Assist with migration from on-prem SiteMinder to AWS-hosted Ping (for external Clients) & Azure-hosted Entra (for internal Employees) for Authentication & Authorization.
• Be able to implement solutions that utilize hybrids of PaaS, SaaS, cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
• Lead by example by being hands on in all aspects of the SDLC including requirements gathering, test plan creation, unit test development, coding and ensuring operational readiness for our solutions.
• Ensures consistency and maintainability of solutions by hardening designs for fault tolerance and ensuring standards and procedures are implemented.
• Follows approved SDLC and project management methodology, ensuring that all required steps are followed, all required deliverables are produced, and all approvals are obtained.
• Designs use cases, functional specifications, and prototypes.

Skills & Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing and implementing solutions that utilize the full stack
• 2+ years recent experience with the MSFT stack AspNetCore, C#, SQL SERVER
• 2+ years recent experience with Authentication & Authorization tools such as SiteMinder, Entra, Ping
• 2+ years recent experience with Azure Cloud, REST API, and APIM
• Experience with Entity Framework and Domain Driven Design
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in the creation of products in both agile and incremental waterfall methodologies.
• Applied experience within a buy side or sell side asset manager.
• Recent experience Azure DevOps (CI, CD, CT) and GitHub
• Ability to understand and apply new technologies quickly
