Our client is seeking a Technical Lead - Digital Services Engineer - Chatbot AI in Atlanta, GA or , Chicago, IL.

Role Description

As the Technical Lead for Digital Service, you'll play a crucial role in guiding our development team towards creating innovative features for our chat bot and messaging platforms. Your responsibilities include overseeing the development lifecycle, ensuring smooth feature implementation, and maintaining thorough testing procedures. Additionally, you'll be hands-on with writing code, unit, and automation tests, as well as conducting code reviews. This position requires effective communication with onshore and offshore technical teams, as well as close collaboration with our client’s product team.
Project Summary: (Further details are below under “Digital Services Primary Priorities”): Have been working on this since March and are still Creating the Strategy and Building the pilot for customer facing omnichannel digital platform with Chatbot/LLM and GenAI features in tandem w/ Google Gemini - with tight integration to the call center and internal teams. Connecting that with IHG's omnichannel experience via their digital platforms and building a new Chat Bot leveraging Googles Gemini platform to integrate with their databases to extract more accurate data related to properties, internal processes, etc. and create a more intuitive generative AI experience on their chatbot across mobile and web (all digital) platforms, both internally and eventually externally that will also integrate seamlessly with their existing and new call center solutions (Genesis)

REQUIREMENTS
• Full-Stack Software Engineering/Development experience on omnichannel Digital Platforms using JavaScript, with a focus on backend and integration development for Mobile/Web
o TypeScript specifically, is strongly preferred (JavaScript is the only usable language in the chatbot and theirs is written in Typescript.)
• 7+ years of professional experience with min 5+ years as a senior developer in the software development industry for a large/enterprise company.
• 5+ years implementing APIs built for web and mobile.
• 2+ years implementing industry-leading chat bots/messaging platforms (Genesys, LivePerson, etc.)
• Demonstrated work experience in cross-channel enterprise systems that span the Web, B2B, and preferably Contact Center interactions.
• 1+ year(s)+ experience working with mobile messaging tools (Apple Business Chat, Google Business Messages, WhatsApp, etc)
• Experience with cloud and distributed deployment.
• Experience in architecting and developing high-volume enterprise software applications for verticals such as hospitality, telecommunications, e-commerce, financial/banking.
• Vendor Management and experience leading/guiding technical and functional teams
o Both strategic and tactical work guiding prioritization and influencing others to meet deliverables and objectives but not necessarily “managing” people – but will be accountable to guiding the Accenture team

TECHNICAL SKILLS
• 5+ years with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• 2+ years with machine learning/generative AI tools.
• 5+ years architecture experience and documentation skills, including UML diagrams.
• 2+ years Agile development experience, preferably SCRUM.
• 2+ years using Agile project management tools such as Rally or Jira.
• 5+ years using source control management, with mandatory experience in Git.
• 1+ years developing localized applications into multiple languages.
• Thorough understanding of unit and automation testing. BDD is a plus.
• Excellent understanding of OOD principles, and design patterns.
• Excellent verbal & written communication, inter-personal, facilitation and presentation skills for the purpose of providing and explaining business needs and technological challenges. The ability to understand, resolve and communicate both technical and process issues is required.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work-related experience
