Project Manager III – Contract – Raleigh, NC/Hybrid – $60.00 - $65.00/hr.

The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s/applicant’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Project Manager III in Raleigh, NC/Hybrid.

Role Description
The primary responsibility of the position is to lead large, complex programs composed of multiple projects. Provides execution and delivers quality oversight for all projects within their defined scope to ensure that delivered scope, time, and budget effectively meet business objectives. Provides facilitation and coordination of multi-functional teams (e.g., IT, business, strategic partner, etc.) utilizing both internal and external resources. Leverages experience with large, complex programs and projects to enhance the delivery capabilities of IT Project Managers. Develops and deploys all project management standards and tool kits and ensures detailed projects reviews are executed in accordance with the process of record.

• Manage large, complex programs composed of multiple work streams and projects that must be coordinated/integrated to deliver business objectives
• Provide quality oversight via stage-gate reviews and necessary action reviews to ensure programs and projects deliver defined scope within the schedule and cost commitments utilizing enterprise standards for project process, tools and techniques
• Provide input to project teams on best practices for scope, schedule, time and quality management
• Provide key input in support of capacity and demand planning, annual budgeting, and participate in the continuous improvement of project management processes and standards
• Develop the enterprise PMO standards by sharing expertise, lessons learned, and leading virtual learning sessions as part of focused process and people development efforts
• Responsible for the budget and performance management measurements for all assigned projects and the establishment of improvement or recovery plans if targets are at risk
• Provides project reviews to ensure services provided and improvement plans established that are in alignment schedule, quality of deliverables, project budgets and with customer expectations
• Quality of service is provided and interaction with customers is reflective of quality services
• Problem areas are identified, corrective action taken, and root causes are determined to eliminate future issues
• Proactively manage project's expense and capital budgets
• Participate in audit, attestation and risk assessment processes
• Develops peer, cross-functional and cross-business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness.

Skills & Requirements

• The ability to lead, make decisions and drive results that positively impact productivity, efficiency, overall project delivery, and enhance company profitability
• Proven experience managing large, complex financial services/insurance/mortgage related software application implementations
• Experience in managing projects to launch new business ventures
• Experience in working with integrated partners to deliver loan origination systems solutions
• Advanced user in project and portfolio management tools (e.g., MS Project, Planview, Smartsheet)
• Progressive IT leadership experience with emphasis on establishing and achieving project standards, delivery, project reviews and exceeding customer expectations with all assigned IT projects
• Excellent knowledge of current and future technologies and trends impacting the financial service/insurance/mortgage industry is preferred.
• Strong process management and project management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with all business functions and build strong business partnerships
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to interact professionally with customers and vendors
• Ability to be a strong advocate for process and technology improvement and ensure the application of measurements to reflect the baseline improvements
• Ability to influence decision makers, drive consensus and broker solutions between parties with competing or potentially conflicting requirements is required.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the executive leadership team and business customers at all levels.
• Passion for change and continual improvement and ability to effectively lead/drive change
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
• 5+ years IT industry experience or equivalent technical experience (e.g. financial services, engineering)
• 10+ years of project management experience
• PMP is required
• Proven experience with multiple project management methods and approaches (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, Waterfall, etc.) with the ability to determine most applicable method based upon project objectives and constraints
• Can multi-task and manage several projects and responsibilities concurrently
• Excellent people, process, communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills
• Able to identify/assess business needs, to analyze and solve problems in a service driven organization
• Highly analytical individual with a keen eye for details
